Guess what happened today,
Well I was remotely logging in to change some data and another comp showed up, some unknown
comp.
(this is a lil'bug in pcAnywhere which occurs if the comp. who your connected 2 is connected to the internet, it will then list computers over the tcp/ip near to your ip-number)
Well of course i'd like to see if i could log in and yes no username nor a pasword.
And to make it even worse no locked server. (dumbasses)
Well in 5 sec. we had control over a NT-server from a big dutch company with root and admin rights!
We didn't do much except changing the desktop and sending a message over the network.
But we could install a backdoor get valuble data passwords had XS to all the tings an admin would have XS 2.Well after calling the company and got the
manager & sysadmin on the line & Xplained what was the problem they'd promess to fix it.Well i think this might be a serious threat ppl not knowing how to configure pcAnywhere or setting up poor passwords.

Recently I keep getting a blue screen with an invalid page fault at ..... any idea why? I'm using windows 98 & I have all the critical updates...I'm running Conceal firewall so I'm blocking incoming fragments.

This is probably a really easy question, but how would you put a simple file into an installation directory? The end result being that when I eventually run the installed program, the file will take effect? I'm still unsuccessful after many stupid attemps. Also I'm running Windows 98 if that's of any relevance.thanx to anybody

The update function on Mcafee & The Cleaner isn't working on my machine all of a sudden. I downloaded the cleaner again & the update works fine. Is it possible that someone using a trojan disabled the update functions? or is there another more plausible explanation?
