anacron and cron
I am tryingt to speedup the booting of my RH80Default i have cron and anacron running. Do i need both?Default FAM and portmap are turned on. Why would i want a file access monitor anyway? |

Depends on the packages who depend on (ana)cron and check what the advantages are of either package.Since it's a workstation you should be able to disable portmap and get rid of FAM.Lets say if you understand how programs like fam work, you'll know it's better than any AV program out there. And these things can learn you a great deal about the inner workings of the OS.
