1-Benefits of a NetWork:

If you have more then one Computer at home then making a NetWork between then making
a NetWork between them gives you lots of benefits such as :
A-Sharing a Printer Or sharing a CD Driver.
B-Sharing files between the computers insted of plasing them on CD's Or Zip Disk's.
C-Sharing one Internet line between two computers or more.
D-Playing Multiplayer games over the NetWork. c00l eh :P

2-What type of netWork you need:

When it comes to local netWork \"LAN\" you have many options to link the computers to each
othere,Where they can share files ad resources between them.
Chosing the type of netWork depens on many things,If you have a loptop PC and keep moving
around the house,Then Wireless NetWork is good for you,If not then you must want a fast
NetWork,In that case \"Ethernet\" is the best for you.
Ethernet is the most commen NetWork's around,It has very high speed's,As it starts form
10 MB in a second,Or 100 MB per second on \"Fast Ethernet\",Or 1000 MB per second on
\"Gega Ethernet\",Most new computers and Mac computers have \"Ethernet\" outputs for making
home NetWorkds.

3-Things you need to make a NetWork between two computers:

A-Two Ethernet Cards.
B-A Cross Cable.

Now you must think : Only!!-->well waith untell you read on.

4-How to Chose the Ethernet Cards:

There are many types of \"Ethernet\" Cards also  known as \"NIC\",As for home computer most
NetWork cards come wiht a \"PCI\" input and there is wiht \"USB\" input.
If you are going to use a laptop computer then get a NetWork card with a \"PCMICA\" input.
You must also make sure that the card workds with the OS that you are going to use,NOT
get a NetWork card only for Unix and use it on a Windows 9.x

5-How to chose the Cables:

As i said befor using \"Ethernet\" NetWork you need Cables,Clables come in rolles but dont
come with Connectors at the end of them,You must buy them and fix them at the end of each
cable.
In order to do that a small step is required,You need to remove the coviring of the cable
wire,After you do that you will find small wires each with a different color.
You must put each color wire in the right plase in the connector.
How to know?? Simple,
The connectors have colored plases in them,Put each color of the wires of the cable in the
right color plase in the connector.
It may be the best cables to make an \"Ethernet\" netWork are \"CAT5e\" cables,As they have
great speed,They can transfer data in the speed of 100 MB per secound.

6-Installing the home NetWork between two Computer:

Ok people this is whayt you'll have been waithing for,So lets get WORKING :D

A-Buy tow \"NIC\" cards and fix them in the \"PCI\" slot NOT the \"VGA\" slot,So no conflict
in resource may happen.
Install the identifying SoftWare for the \"NIC\" card form the CD that came with it.
After you finish you schould restart your computer and check that the \"NIC\" card is
installed propley,By looking in the \"Device manger\".

B-Fix the cable line in the \"NIC\" card,have a look at the manual that came with the
\"NIC\" card.            

C-Identifying the NetWork:
Open the PC that you are going to make it a server,Go to \"netWork Neighborhood\" and right
click on it and chose \"Properties\",Then Do the next steps:

-From \"Access Contrl\" make sure that \"Share level Access Control\" is Enabled.
-Go to \"Identification\" there are 3 empty fields and they are :
*Computer Name: Lest make it \"PC1\"
*Workgroup: make its name \"Home\"
-Computer Descripition: you can leave it empty if you want.

Now in \"Configuration\" make sure of:

-That \"Client for Mircrosoft netWork\" is in the tab of \"Primary netWork Logon\"
-Click on \"Add\" then chose \"Protocol\" form the list and chose \"Add\" and the chose
\"Microsoft\",Another menu appears on the right,Chose \"TPC/IP\" and click \"OK\",and restart
the computer of needed.

Now after you have installed the \"TCP/IP\" protocol go to the \"Configuration\" of the
netWork at the window of \"The Following netWork Components are installed\" click on \"TCP/IP\"
and chose \"Properties\" and do the following:
from the \"TCP/IP Protocol\" that you have opend click on the \"IP Address\"tab,And active the
\"Specify an IP Address\",PUt this number in the \"IP Address\" field : 192.168.0.1
and in the \"Subnet Mask\" field put this number: 255.255.255.0
P.S: the numbers that you put in the \"IP Address\" field and in the \"Subnet mask\" are made
up numbers,Call your ISP and ask him for the numbers that you need to put there.

Now go to the \"Wins Configuration\" and make sure that \"Disable Wins Resoulution\" is Active.
In the \"GateWay\" tab there must not be any thing active in it.

Go to the \"DNS Configuration\" and Disable DNS.
P.S: ask the ISP if you schould Enabel DNS or Disabel it.

Go to the \"Advanced\" tab and make sure that there is a \"NO\" besides \"Set Binding to ATM\"
and also make sure that \"Set this protocol to be the default protocol\" is active.
and finally click on the \"binding\" tab and make sure that \"Client for Mircrosoft NetWorks\"
and \"File and Printer Sharing for Mircrosoft NetWorks\" are active.

And as for file and printer sharing it is the most easy thing to do.Just click on
\"NetWork Neighboring\" and right click,And chose \"Properties\",then in the tab of
\"Configuration\" click on \"File and printer sharing\" and active \"I want to be able to give
others access to my files\" and \"I want to allow others to print to my printers\".
After that click on \"OK\",Then the computer will restart,and walla you made it so far h3h3h

OK,Now open the other computer and repeat the steps of \"Installing the Network\" execpt for:
A-The Ip address make it :192.168.0.2--> Once again call your ISP For that IP.
B-The Computer name must be different from the other computer,Make it : PC2
C-The computer WorkGroup MUST BE same as the first one,In our case name it \"Home\".

restart the computer,Now the NetWork should be working as far as file and printer sharing.
All you have to do is test the file sharing ,Share any file on a computer and check to see
if you can see the file that is shared,If YES then you are on the right track,If not then
check all what you did before

7-Sharing one Internet Line:

Ok,Now the network is ready,All you have to do is setup the Internet line,That can be done
in two ways they are :

A-By using \"internet Connection Sharing\" i wont explane this in this file,may be in the
next one. ;)

B-By using a \"Proxy Server\".I will explane using \"AnalogX Proxy\".

So?! lets get this show runing............
You need to get \"AnalogX Proxy\" Form : www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/proxy.htm
and install it on both the computers,You Only need to run it on the computer that is
connected to the Internet \"PC1\".
Now Open the second computer \"PC2\" and open \"Internet Explorer\" and click on \"Tools\"
then \"Internet Options\" Then Chose \"Connection\" then \"LAN\" from there active \"Using Proxy
Server\" enter these numbers in the \"Address\" filed :192.168.0.1
that is the IP of the main computer \"PC1\",And in the \"port\" field enter this number : 6588
that is the port of \"AnalogX\",it will be different if you are using another \"Proxy Server\"
Program.

one last thing,From \"internet Options\" go to \"Connection\" and active \"Never dial a
connection\"
