Remote Control BB Bug
The BB-Bug manages to combine two childhood favourites - guns and bugs - into a single, remote-controlled package.
We don't know quite what inspired the designers to create a beetle carrying a "cannon" on its back, but it certainly makes for one of the most unique items in our ever expanding range.
The beetle crawls around on its six legs, and is "steerable" by the mini 5 button infra-red remote control which provides 5 indispensable buttons - forward, reverse, left and right turn, and fire!We set up a course for our BB-Bug to navigate, thinking that a couple of tight turns would confuse it, but it handled them fine as the beetle can turn almost on the spot! Strapped to the beetle's back is a cannon, which can be loaded with a number of BB pellets.
Pressing the red button in the centre of the remote control fires off a pellet.
Firing the cannon at our practice targets showed that although targeting isn't exactly sniper accurate, it's got a fair range.
BB-Bug even has piercing red lit eyes, and a glowing tubule protruding from the front of the beetle.
BB-Bug is available in two colours as pictured - please note that they are not on different channels so are not designed to be used together.
