firewalls, condoms, and orion
To use a trojan i would need to get it resident in the system correct. The way I understand Trojans is that I would need to use an exe of some sort to get the trojan to dump its files and register itself. I am trying to run as realistic a simulation as possible. If I know that I have port 80 or 139 open through the firewall then I can send the trojan to that port without the user on the other end doing anything to activate the trojan? btw. the firewall is on a system running NT, I am using win9x on one box and AIX on another to try and 'hack' the server. The AIX came on a box that was given to me otherwise I probably wouldnt have chosen that system. With you on the tunnelling that has been one of my approaches thus far. If you could point me in a good direction on learning the trojan thing that would be cool. I checked out sub7 as that is what one of my comps is apparently infected with (cant find a proggie to clean it also have watching.dll cant clean..found files but cant delete them, access denied) but the sub7 prog is to fuzzy to read. Guess I'll just keep fucking with that. BO and Netbus wont work know that for sure unless the signature is changed considerably...not an area I have much interest in. Thanks fo ryour help thus far Orion, didnt mean to get on the wrong foot. If you could give me a tip on trojs I'd appreciate it.btw... I dont thinkn trojan is a good name for a condom, isnt the point to keep the invaders OUT, I remeber the trojans getting in, in that horse they built. Someone needs to rethink that marketing scheme.
