No, not at all.It has many purposes, It impresses many pplAll websites ou bisit log your IP and everything you do, this just reminds you of that.It encourages you to keep your computer secure, your computer can't be 'hacked' just because your IP address is on display, not if youe computer is secure.Your IP isn't displayed if you used the webboards and have cookies turned on, so it's a bit of a nudge to get you in here and making use of the boards.there are many more reasons, i just can't think of them right now.
