Heh, not too sure but I think it's a text file with a bunch of words on it. A different one on every line or something like that. If this made any sense at all then I think I can start talking to people in real life... |

A dictionary file is used by cracking engines to crack passwords. As was already said it is a text file and it contains the names you want to use to crack passwords. You can make your own dic file by typing in the words in a column. For instance, you must know your target and have a good idea as to what users may use for passwords. Example (I know I am gonna take shit for this) but, say your trying to crack an Adult site. Your dic file is gonna contain words like:ass admin administrator guest pussy etcAnother example maybe you're cracking an account that attracts foreign users, then you want to find a dic file that contains words from that particular language. There are tons of dic. files already made so look around before you attempt to make your own.Other dic files may be the username tab password types and they look like this: username : password.Hope this helped, BROM |
