Help anyone
sorry about my post last night i was pissed up after my birthday
im still trying out these lame DOS programs and i have come across one called rocket as with most programs you dont get any istuctions with it this is all the information i got with it ......Another +++ATH0 modem attack. A new fun for users who has modems with
"escape code guard". If your modem does support (all quality modems
supports) escape code guard you can use this program else wait for next
version with defence feature. If it's successful, this attack will cause
disconnection of the target modem. the trouble is every time i try and use it it switchs of my own modem any suggestions and can any one explain to me what a oos (i think) scanner does .what sort of info would i need to learn on how to deface web pages or something alittle more interesting than these lame dos programs

Re: Help anyone
Ok, the problem you have here is that your modem is also interpreting the hang-up string [+++ATH0] when it is sent, and to get around this you just have to put the string "s2=255" in your modem initialisation. This stops the modem from dropping into command mode [which is what "+++" does, "ATH0" hangs up the modem] by changing it from "+++" to three 255 chars. To be honest, I have no idea what this "escape code guard" shit is all about. I think whoever wrote that program that you're using has no idea what they were doing. They probably just ripped the functions straight from someone else's tool and wrote a bullshit text file with cool sounding terms.

Modems not affected
These modems are those that require a 500ms or more pause after dropping into command mode [ie. after receiving "+++"].US Robotics Sportsters 33.6 or later seem to be immune, as are NetComm Roadsters 33.6 or later.Sorry, forgot to mention this when I posted before.
